So what kind of configuration make it a perfect laptop for mechanical engineer?
Processor- It is the most important part of the laptop. If your processor is high it will deliver fast working performance and experience.
For a mechanical engineer, you need a powerful processor that can easily run any software. If you have a limited budget go for Intel Core i5 at least.
If you have a high budget then go for Intel core i7.
GPU- Integrated graphics is powerful for running normal graphics related software. But if you “ll use mechanical engineer software like AutoCAD, Matlab, or any other 3D software then you go with a Dedicated graphics card.
RAM- It is another important part of the laptop. It handles your all heavy software and multitasking.
For a mechanical engineer, you have to go at least 8 GB RAM to perform your software and for heavy software go with 12 GB OR 16 GB RAM. Many laptops provide you 1 extra RAM expansion slot, so you don’t need to buy 16 GB RAM onboard laptops.
Storage- There are two options for storage drives that is SSD and HDD. SSD is faster and expensive than an HDD drive. SSD ensures faster applications and Os loading time and enhances performance while carrying out a heavy task. If you want faster performance go with the SSD drive, if you want more storage go with SSHD that is 1 TB HDD along with 256 or 512 GB SSD.
