SEO (Search Engine Optimization)
Topic : SEO (Search Engine Optimization)
SEO is the process of improving the website in order to receive more traffic or number of visitors to your site through search engines. For example, if someone searches for restaurants in India, google will list all websites in India relating to restaurants. Getting your keywords and key-phrases right is essential for the success of every website. This practice also helps the content to rank well in search. While search engines are becoming more and more clever, so should your content strategies.
In a digital world full of competitors, it’s kind of tough to stand out. But you have to, if you want to achieve success in your business by online presence. And if you want to have a successful blog then It is important to optimize your website. You probably know that SEO stands for Search Engine Optimization. But do you know how you need to optimize your website?
Let me break that down even further with two main categories of SEO. On-page SEO and Off-page SEO. Both On-Page SEO and Off-Page SEO play vital role in your website’s success.
On-Page SEO is the practise of optimizing web page contents including headlines, content, Internal links, URLs and page structure and we have full control over On-Page SEO.
Off-Page SEO refers to optimization activities that you do outside the website and contributes to your website’s ranking. Such as social media marketing, guest blogging, mentions(direct or indirect) etc.
Even when you don’t have full control over Off-Page SEO and is different from On-Page SEO, you need to get both right in order to do well with SEO.
Confused? Okay let me explain it with an example:
Let’s say you have a bakery with all flavours and varieties of cakes.
Imagine these two scenarios:
You have baked varieties of yummy cakes but the appearance of your bakery shop is a mess.
What happens in this scenario? Well, even if you are a great master chef who has baked the best cakes in the world, if your bakery shop looks like the jungle, no one will come into your bakery in the first place. They will never know you have good cakes because of your unwelcoming appearance of bakery shop.
Same thing happens to your website if you haven’t optimised your page around On-Page SEO. It may have great and stunning content but no one will notice because you won’t get any traffic.
What about the other way around?
You have set up a visually appealing bakery shop with right interiors but you have limited varieties of cake that tastes really bad.
Having a nice and neat bakery will attract plenty of people to come visit your shop. But if you do not have many varieties of cakes and what people expected from your bakery, they’ll leave quicker than you can pronounce SEO.
When a visitor quits your website immediately just after viewing only main page, Google considers that a bounce. The higher your bounce rate, the worse your website will rank on Google.
That’s why it is necessary to take care of both On-Page and Off-Page SEO for the betterment of your website. And we are here to help you with this.
